Getting started

Sign in to Zoe with your Microsoft work account, find your way around the conversation list, composer and agent roster, and ask your first questions.

Zoe is the AINOW assistant you talk to in plain language. You reach it in a browser at zoe.ainowsolutions.ca, in the AINOW Mobile app, and — where your organization has set it up — as a tab inside Microsoft Teams. This page covers signing in and the first few minutes in the web app.

Sign in with your Microsoft work account

Zoe uses the same work account you use for email and Teams. There is no separate AINOW password.

  1. Open zoe.ainowsolutions.ca. You see Sign in to your AI work assistant with the hint Use your organization account to continue.
  2. Select Sign in with Microsoft.
  3. Complete your organization's normal sign-in — account, password, and multi-factor prompt if your organization requires one.
  4. You land in the assistant with the greeting How can I help you today?

If your organization uses its own identity provider instead of Microsoft Entra, the button takes you to that provider's sign-in page instead. Inside a Teams tab you are signed in automatically and never see the button.

Choosing your organization

Zoe works out which organization you belong to from the account you sign in with — there is no organization picker inside the app. If you have work accounts in more than one organization, choose the right account at the Microsoft sign-in prompt.

To move to a different organization later:

  1. Select your initial in the circle at the top right.
  2. Choose Sign out.
  3. Sign in again and pick the other work account.

Each organization is a separate workspace: conversations, skills, memories and connected systems do not cross between them.

Find your way around

The top bar carries the assistant name and your organization's logo on the left, with a button to Hide history or Show history. On the right are shortcuts to Dashboards, Skills, Memory, and — if your organization has scheduled workflows — Workflows, plus a notifications bell, the theme and language controls, and your account menu.

The left rail holds three things, top to bottom:

  • New conversation — starts a fresh thread.
  • Agents — the roster. Zoe is always first; selecting Zoe's row opens the Memory page showing what Zoe remembers about you. Below Zoe sit your organization's named agents, then any agents you created yourself under Yours, then Add agent. Agents that are switched off show an Off badge. The roster is a directory, not a chooser — you never have to pick an agent to start; you always talk to Zoe, and Zoe consults the others when it helps.
  • History — your past conversations, grouped under Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days and Older. Titles are generated from the conversation itself. Selecting one reopens it exactly as you left it, including any approval cards.

The middle of the screen is the conversation. Above the greeting, Your snapshot shows tiles drawn from your connected systems and from AINOW itself — your open incidents, cases assigned to you, your next meeting, unread email, tasks due today, Awaiting your approval, New workflow results. Selecting a tile asks Zoe about it immediately. You can hide tiles you do not want with Customize tiles.

At the bottom is the composer, prompting Ask anything about your work…. Press Enter to send and Shift+Enter for a new line. If your organization has more than one persona for you, a segmented control in the middle of the top bar switches between Assistant and ServiceNow — the second is a fulfiller queue view of the records assigned to you.

Your first questions

Start with something you would otherwise look up by hand. Good openers:

  1. What is assigned to me right now?
  2. Summarize incident INC0012345 and tell me what the last update was.
  3. What does our expense policy say about international travel?
  4. Draft a resolution note for the printer issue I closed yesterday.

Zoe answers from your organization's documents and connected systems, shows its sources, and asks for approval before changing anything. If a question needs a system your organization has not connected, Zoe says so rather than guessing.

Which systems, skills and channels you get depends on your organization's plan and its connected systems. Next: asking well.
